An unofficial 24/25 ski apparel trend forecast
As a surprise to absolutely no one, retro looks + bold color palettes are back.
As we gear up for the 24/25 ski season, the intersection of fashion and function in women’s skiwear is more apparent than ever. With a focus on sustainability, high-performance materials, and bold colors/patterns, this year’s trends are about standing out, staying comfortable, and optimizing for an easy slopes-to-après transition. Here’s what we can expect from women’s skiwear this season:
Bold Color Palettes & Prints
Again this season, vibrant colors and bold prints will continue to dominate the slopes. We’ve seen neons, jewel tones, and patterns coming front and center in recent years and this one will be no exception. Expect to see a resurgence of color-blocking and monochromatic looks.
Retro Revival
Vintage-inspired skiwear continues to make a big comeback this season. High-waisted pants, oversize and boxy puffer jackets, and classic logos are very much in trend but updated with modern technical features. We’ll continue to see much more on the retro front.
Sustainability as Tablestakes
Sustainability continues to be a top priority, with many brands doubling down on eco-friendly materials and production methods. Expect to see more recycled fabrics, such as polyester and nylon, sourced from ocean waste, etc. Brands are also innovating with biodegradable waterproofing treatments and PFC-free coatings that don’t compromise on durability. The shift towards ethical manufacturing and eco-consciousness is will continue to be a main priority going into this season.

High-Tech Performance Fabrics
Performance fabrics are now better than ever, with advancements in breathability, insulation, + weather resistance. I’m excited by innovations like smart textiles that regulate body temperature, keeping you cool during sweaty moments and warm when the temps drop.
Easy Slopes to Après Transition
Women’s skiwear is becoming more versatile, with items that transition effortlessly from the slopes to après-ski. We’ll see more sleek, tailored ski pants and jackets that can be worn off the mountain, along with layers that are fashionable enough to hit town after. Brands are focusing on multi-purpose designs, blending performance + style so you can go from skiing to socializing seamlessly.

Gender-Neutral Silhouettes
Gender-neutral silhouettes are gaining traction (not just for snowboarders). Expect oversized jackets, unisex color palettes, and looser fits that are both comfortable and stylish. This trend is also opening the door to more inclusive sizing options which we love to see.
Accessories as a Forethought
In 2025, accessories are stepping up to become key style elements. Think statement gloves (even featuring jewelry…), neck warmers in bold prints, and sleek, futuristic goggles.
